Moving to Scotland in 2018, I have continued to work in a private care setting. It's like I've "come home". Both of my parents were born and raised in Glasgow so I have dual Scottish and Canadian heritage and citizenship. As a physiotherapist I've had the privilege of working in many types of clinical settings. My current passion is serving patients with pelvic floor issues. So much can be done to help alleviate the pain and discomfort people experience. All ages of patients are welcome, from children to seniors.
I enjoy traveling, all things outdoors, walking, and cycling. Going to the gym and practicing yoga, keeps me strong and flexible so I can continue to enjoy these activities.

‘I had suffered from CPPS (Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome) for over a year before I came to Yvonne for treatment. This meant constant pain, lack of sleep and urinary frequency that made me depressed and anxious. I had seen both private and NHS consultants and the best that they could advise was to try to manage the symptoms as best I could. Yvonne took a different approach and from the start of her treatment encouraged me to become positive and pro-active. Yvonne’s therapies soon began to make a real difference and I am now pain free and able to lead a normal life again. Yvonne is personable, caring and professional in relation to everything she does – I fully recommend her physio services’ (Kenneth M, Age 55)
I spent many years believing that leaking post childbirth was inevitable - not helped by the barrage of advertising aimed at 'women of a certain age' experiencing bladder weakness. This media simply promotes the idea that nothing can be done to cure and our only recourse is to use incontinence products. Trampolining was clearly off the cards from the day my first daughter was born, but fast forward 20 years and two more children and things had got gradually worse, until I found myself unable to go for a simple lunchtime stroll with a colleague along flat paths, without leaking. Thankfully after hearing about Pelvic floor physio on a podcast, I found Yvonne.
Yvonne explains everything calmly and kindly, whilst leaving plenty of time and space for questions and on some occasions - tears. Her reassurance, encouragement and realistic goals have made all the difference.( By its very nature, aspects of Pelvic floor physio are intimate and invasive - the deep trust which Yvonne manages to build incredibly quickly made this entirely manageable.)
I can now happily jump, walk, ski and dance with no leakage - all of which would have filled me with dread previously. Not sure about trampolining yet, but I am working on it and with Yvonne's help, I honestly believe it is possible! (Fiona C, Age 53)
